Prewett’s launch gluten free Mini’s Chunky Choc Chip Cookies

Prewett’s, the gluten free biscuit specialist, has launched Mini’s Chunky Choc Chip Cookies – the second addition to their new Mini’s range.

Packed full of flavoursome milk chocolate chips, these delicious bite-sized cookies are ideal as a lunchbox snack or ‘on-the-go’ treat and provide a neat complement to Prewett’s Mini’s cheese biscuits which were launched earlier this year.

Available as five mini bags in a larger 140g bag, Mini’s Chunky Choc Chip Cookies are currently available in Asda (retail sale price £2.00), with more stockists anticipated to follow later.

Kevin shortlisted for a ‘FreeFrom Hero Award’

Kevin Dunn, a new product development technologist with leading biscuit manufacturer Northumbrian Fine Foods (NFF), has been shortlisted for a prestigious ‘FreeFrom Hero Award’.

Kevin was selected as a finalist in the forthcoming FreeFrom Food Awards for his innovative work and dynamism in the NFF kitchen in helping to develop a vast range of exciting new gluten free biscuit recipes.

Since 2012, it is estimated that over 675 million gluten free biscuits developed by Kevin and his team have been enjoyed by consumers, equating to 273 different separate biscuit products for retailer brands and NFF’s own Prewett’s brand.

Kevin said: “I’m very proud to have been shortlisted for this award, although this is more about recognition for the fantastic work of the whole development team, rather than down to the efforts of one individual.”

The FreeFrom Food Awards are the UK’s only industry awards exclusively for free-from food, with the aim of encouraging innovation and celebrating excellence in the free-from food industry. The awards presentation will take place at the Royal College of Physicians in London on April 17th.

Prewett’s declared the ‘Editor’s Choice’ in independent taste test

We are thrilled that our Prewett’s Spicy Dark Chocolate & Ginger Cookies received the ‘Editor’s Choice Award’ in a recent taste test run by Free-From Heaven magazine.

They were described as an ‘exceptional treat’ and as ‘being rich, crunchy, gingery and lovely and chewy’.

 

Northumbrian Fine Foods scoops North East Business Award in regional heat

Northumbrian Fine Foods (NFF) has won a coveted North East Business Award 2018 for the Tyneside & Northumberland region in recognition of the innovation and development work that has led to the creation of their diverse range of delicious gluten free biscuits and cookies.

The Gateshead company will now go forward to the grand final covering the whole of North East of England region, which takes place on 26 April.

The company won the regional award in the Innovation category, with the judging panel impressed by the investment, research and innovation that has led in recent times to the development of more than 125 gluten free biscuit products for national retailers and NFF’s own Prewett’s range.

Prewett’s is a double finalist at FreeFrom Food Awards 2018

Prewett’s – the gluten free biscuit specialist – has been shortlisted in two categories at the forthcoming FreeFrom Food Awards 2018.

The FreeFrom Food Awards are the UK’s only industry awards exclusively for free-from food, with the aim of encouraging innovation and celebrating excellence in the free-from food industry.

In the Savoury Snacks category, Prewett’s Mini’s were selected as a finalist in recognition of their great taste and convenience as an ideal lunchbox treat or ‘on-the-go’ snack.

Also making the final are Prewett’s Gorgeously Gluten Free Quadruple Chocolate Cookies in the FreeFrom Food for Export category. This is a new award category, with Prewett’s making the shortlist because of the excellent sales performance of these delicious cookies in the Spanish and Portuguese markets.

A big thank you to our hard-working hospital emergency staff!

Prewett’s was thrilled to thank our hard-working junior doctors and nurses at Newcastle A&E Great North Trauma & Emergency Centre by donating a large box of our great tasting biscuits.

These junior doctors work incredibly long shifts dealing with a wide range of trauma injuries and other life-threatening conditions.

Prewett’s expands gluten free range with launch of Chocoful Caramel

‘Chocoful Caramel’ –  a delicious new gluten free chocolate coated and caramel filled biscuit bar – has been launched by Prewett’s.

These crunchy gluten free biscuit bars are packed with caramel chunks and coated in deliciously creamy milk chocolate. The launch of this new product follows on from the success of the ‘Chocoful’ biscuit bar, which has proved popular with consumers.

Available in a 100g box pack containing five individually wrapped biscuit bars, Chocoful Caramel is currently available in Asda.

Prewett’s tasty Oaty Bites scoop Good Choice Quality Food Award

Prewett’s Savoury Mature Cheddar & Black Pepper Oaty Bites have scooped a prestigious ‘Good Choice! Quality Food Award’ in recognition of their great taste and innovation.

These delicious all-butter savoury snacks made with mature cheddar and black pepper came first in the Free From Ambient Category of the awards, with its sister product, Prewett’s Savoury Parmesan Oaty Bites, also a finalist in the same category.
